This Privacy Policy explains how FranAssistant, a service of Blackwood Executives, LLC(“FranAssistant,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit franassistant.com(the “Site”), complete our intake quiz, schedule a call, or otherwise interact with our franchise matching services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quiz responses — capital you can deploy, timeline, motivation for exploring franchise ownership, and area of interest (city / state).
- Contact details — first and last name, email address, and phone number.
- Scheduling — date and time you select for a strategy call and any information you share during it.
- Communications — messages you send us by email, text, phone, or web form.
- Payment information — if you ever purchase a product or service, payment details handled by our processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, timestamps.
- Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from third parties
- Ad and analytics partners (such as Meta, Google) may share campaign, conversion, and audience signals with us.
- Public or commercial sources used to verify or enrich your inquiry (e.g., business records, location data tied to your area of interest).
2. How we use information
- Match you with franchise opportunities and qualified consultants.
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on your strategy call.
- Communicate with you by email, text message, and phone — including automated and AI-assisted outreach (see Section 3).
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- Measure and improve our advertising on platforms such as Meta and Google.
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information as follows:
- Franchise consultants and brokers in our network who may contact you about opportunities that match your criteria. This includes routing or transferring qualified lead information.
- Franchisors when we refer you for further discussion about a specific brand, at your direction.
- Service providers who run our infrastructure: for example, GoHighLevel (CRM, contact management, calling and SMS), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics and fonts), Meta (advertising), and similar vendors. They access information only as needed to provide their service to us.
- Legal compliance and safety: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- With your consent for any other purpose.
Sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” under California law. You may opt out (see Section 8).
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies — including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and the Meta Pixel — to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure ad effectiveness, and improve user experience. You can control cookies through your browser. Opting out may affect functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal and operational requirements. Financial and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years. Marketing data may be retained for shorter periods unless you re-engage with us. You can request earlier deletion (see Section 8).
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You provide information at your own risk.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link), SMS (reply STOP), or phone calls (ask any agent or email us).
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising (CCPA/CPRA).
- Restrict or object to certain processing, or request portability (GDPR, where applicable).
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email privacy@franassistant.com with your request and enough information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes.
9. Children
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
10. Third-party sites and services
The Site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information.
11. International users
We operate primarily in the United States. By using the Service, you understand information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries with different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or communicated to you directly.
